Coder Den helped launch BuzzDraft into the Daily Fantasy Sports Market with real-time data and community driven contests. Coder Den helped design the fastest platform for its users. BuzzDraft had competitors in hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of games competing daily for real money! Buzzdraft disrupted the Fantasy Sports Market and helped shape the newly acclaimed daily fantasy market into what it is today.
BuzzDraft was acquired in April of 2013!
Handling real-time stats and a rapidly growing player base is no simple task, and especially not for one server. CoderDen built the site to the point that BuzzDraft ultimately consisted of a stats server and a handful of cloud webservers to handle the front end traffic, and even its own metrics server. Django was the framework of choice. And Redis (a cacheing mechanism) was used on top of a MySQL database. Celery took care of parsing the live stats from multiple third party companies, including respected real-time leader SportsDataLLC. CoderDen used every technique in the book to get our page loads as fast as possible and BuzzDraft ranked among the very top of its peers when performing analysis like using Google’s own PageSpeed Tools.
